One ride on a small choppy day witha heavy single fin longboard; I did not surf today so I watched Mr. Tudor in super slow mo. on my computer today. Misty section of JBrother's LONGER.
Really like the site. I have added a link to my blog at http://timkevan.blogspot.com where I write a bit about surfing in the UK. If you'd like to add a link back that would be much appreciated. If not, no worries at all. Best wishes, Tim Kevan
that's how it's done! notice the hesitation at first; pressing his weight forward, poised to move up, but waiting until the section can keep up with him. Then the move to the nose, long strides. Riding it out through the little whitewater section which he beats easily. Finally the steps back; see how his front foot is rolling back, not stepping so much a feeding the board through underneath his center (frame 33)... nice captures!
